Position Summary:

The Director of Operations - JSSI Parts will partner with the leader of the Parts business, the Senior Director of Procurement, to successfully accomplish two main goals of the business: (1) to lower the cost of JSSI maintenance events; and (2) to optimize third party selling and buying of parts.  The Director of Operations will work collaboratively with internal and external resources to ensure that best practices are identified and implemented, that JSSI Parts is capitalizing on every profitable opportunity, and that team learning and growing is both relevant and ongoing.  The Director of Operations will provide daily oversight to the overall operations of the JSSI Parts Team in two critical areas: (1) Leadership & Strategy; and (2) Operational Excellence. 

Position Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy

Utilize business expertise to provide leadership to the JSSI Purchasing Team and foster strategic thinking throughout the team through the following activities:

  1. Identify coaching and mentoring opportunities to impart knowledge to JSSI Purchasing team members and the JSSI community at large
  2. Transform the Purchasing Team from reactive to strategic and forward looking
  3. Collaborate with Senior Director of Procurement in the leadership of JSSI Parts and Purchasing teams to achieve all financial, non-financial and supplier measurements goals
  4. Develop and implement modern logistics and inventory management strategies for efficient product tracking, routing and distribution
  5. Manage assigned budgets, in cooperation with the respective divisions (Parts trading, Jet Engine Leasing, and Purchasing) to achieve goals and objectives
  6. Plan and achieve savings to the JSSI budget
  7. Develop standard practice and cadence for measuring and communicating performance with internal management, suppliers and customers
  8. Create and update multi-year business plans

Operational Excellence

Utilize business expertise and knowledge to enhance JSSI’s operational excellence in logistics, IT systems, revenue and process improvement, technical services support and parts vendor management through the following activities:

  1. Support the Purchasing Team by establishing enhanced procedures with respect to finding target aircraft for acquisitions, overseeing financial analyses of such aircraft and the ultimate purchase, dismantling, and re-selling of serviceable parts on such aircraft
  2. Drive core supply chain performance including delivery cost and quality
  3. Create vendor matrix to manage vendor and quality control to ensure that parts are sourced, re-sold and dispatched at an optimal level
  4. Serve as JSSI’s subject matter expert on IT systems which manage parts entry, purchase, and resale (i.e. Quantum or other applicable systems) 
  5. Continue to develop expertise on technical aspects of the various engines, APUs and airframes that the JSSI Parts and Purchasing Team handles
  6. Support JSSI Parts team with needed focus and attention to process development, analytics structure and best practices
  7. Identify additional parts distribution channels to ensure consistent growth in JSSI Parts’ revenues
  8. Lead implementation and documentation of best practices, strategies, policies and procedures for purchasing, logistics and key deliverables
  9. Identify opportunities across business unit to leverage spend and relationships
  10. Identify big picture strategies and opportunities to increase revenue from surplus spares buying and selling
  11. Reduce costs of maintenance events through utilization of existing JSSI Parts inventory
  12. Support JSSI’s Technical Services Team by forecasting and supplying parts and components for future JSSI scheduled maintenance events
  13. Serve as point of contact with Maintenance and Repair Organizations, with an end-goal of establishing significantly favorable pricing terms through Memoranda of Understanding
  14. Develop and implement strategies to establish JSSI parts as the supplier of choice for all JSSI-covered scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events
  15. Oversee parts distributions to MROs/Technical Advisors for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events

Desired Credentials:

  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred
  • Ten years’ experience in progressively responsible aviation roles
  • Expert knowledge of purchasing, inventory controls and channels of delivery
  • Expertise on supply chain operations and on driving results through others

Position Summary:

The mission of the Aircraft Maintenance Pricing Analyst is to assist the Pricing Manager in the administration of the JSSI airframe/engine programs. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Collect cost data from functional representatives, contractors and vendors
  2. Compute cost estimates of material procurement, repair, replenishment and transportation
  3. Prepare and maintain historical cost data
  4. Create cost models for cost estimating elements

  13. Research cost comparisons – actual vs data base pricing
  14. Provide technical support to support to the Client Services and Sales Staff with regards to inspection programs and rates
  15. Communicate changes to inspection requirements to the Technical Services field reps
  16. Research Service Bulletin and Airworthiness Directives as required

Additional Responsibilities

Desired Credentials:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Aviation Related)
  • 2-3 years aviation technical experience

Mission Statement:
The mission of the Client Relationship Manager is to have primary responsibility for all aspects of client relationships within his or her assigned territory, with the exception of client matters managed by the Technical Services Team. The Client Relationship Manager consistently strives to provide outstanding service to clients, responding promptly to concerns and proactively seeking to anticipate needs. This position requires excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as outstanding people skills.

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Develop an intimate familiarity with all clients and contracts in territory.
  2. Handle routine client service issues relating to contract terms, payments, monthly reporting obligations, etc.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with clients and become knowledgeable about their business. 
  4. Seek new business development opportunities from clients.
  5. Anticipate and resolve client concerns professionally and efficiently.
  6. Monitor clients’ monthly reporting and payment. 
  7. Work with the Credit and Collections Team and Accounting Department to reduce the number of late payments and accounts receivable days outstanding.
  8. Work with Directors of Business Development and Technical Advisors to welcome new clients to JSSI and provide new client orientation after a new sale is closed.
  9. Educate new clients about their coverage and contractual obligations and the company’s programs and services.
  10. Manage all communications related to a transfer of the program and renewal process, in the hopes of keeping a healthy client retention ratio.
  11. Liaise with Contracts Specialists to assist in the coordination of new contract preparation.
  12. Liaise with Contracts Specialists to assist in the coordination of the transfer and renewal contract process by ensuring that there are no outstanding issues, informing the client about coverage, and handing off the transfer paperwork to the Contracts Specialists for contract generation. 
  13. Perform an annual review of contracts in their respective region and communicate an annual adjustment and any other necessary information in accordance with the contract.
  14. Attend regional and national industry events to network with clients and represent the company.
  15. Assist with maintaining and following the Department’s policies and procedures, including any necessary system updates.

Desired Credentials:

  • Candidates must have unrestricted authorization to live and work in the United Kingdom.

Mission Statement:

The Financial Analyst is a key member of the Financial Planning & Analysis department at JSSI.  This group provides management and the operating departments of JSSI with insightful economic evaluations and meaningful information necessary to plan, operate, and control the business. This position focuses on analysis for this data driven, quality service oriented company serving the aviation industry, primarily dealing with business jets.    This business combines aspects of insurance and finance with aircraft and engine maintenance and requires in-depth analysis to support complex financial decisions and forecasts.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform analysis of both strategic and tactical business and operational questions while demonstrating creative analytical curiosity. Analyze data associated with highly complex business and operational opportunities. Consultatively collaborate with operating departments to analytically explore business and operational problems, develop reports, track and understand operational issues.
  • Review and perform financial analysis, as necessary, for all new and renewal contracts, ensuring profit margins for each line of business meet or exceed senior management expectations.
  • Work together with Pricing and New Products teams to analyze and assist in pricing of new opportunities and lines of business.
  • Develop financial assumptions and construct complex financial models for forecasting, budgeting and business case analyses.
  • Manage and further develop seven-year financial planning model.
  • Evaluate acquisitions of aircraft and parts inventories to support business.
  • Prepare periodic variance analyses of forecasted/budgeted maintenance events versus actual maintenance events.
  • Identify trends and recommend improvements accordingly.
  • Collaborate with, mentor, develop and support other analysts.

Desired Credentials:

Educational Background & Work Experience

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience in a financial analysis role.

Preferred

  • MBA or Masters in Business, Finance, Economics, Quantitative Analysis, Accounting, Finance Analytics, Operations Research, Applied Math, Economics, Statistics or other quantitative field or similar discipline preferred.
  • Work Experience: 4-5 years.

Position Summary:

The mission of the Helicopter Product Line Representative is to provide day-to-day operational support of a multi-million-dollar business. The Product Line Representative will work collaboratively with JSSI’s internal resources to ensure JSSI Parts is capitalizing on every profitable opportunity. This role will serve as a primary contact for the Helicopter Product Line with the objectives of (1) reducing JSSI’s maintenance costs through proactive provisioning of material, and (2) creating third-party revenue for the business by selling existing stock and creating brokering opportunities. The Product Line Representative is an entrepreneur and a business professional with integrity and the capacity to effectively grow and manage an operation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Learn all technical aspects of the various engines and airframes that JSSI supports.
  2. Manage the complete supply chain process in supporting material requirements for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
  3. Learn existing JSSI helicopter product offerings across various fleets.
  4. Work closely with the Purchasing and Sales teams.
  5. Conduct financial analysis and market evaluations.
  6. Create relationships with helicopter manufacturers, repair vendors, suppliers and customers.
  7. Effectively present JSSI Parts to prospective customers and suppliers.
  8. Identify and move quickly on opportunities.
  9. Settle discrepancies with customer orders in a professional and timely manner.
  10. Call on regular and prospective customers and vendors to solicit new business.

Position Summary:

The mission of the Senior Business Intelligence Developer is to be a technical expert on the IT team who will be responsible for taking the lead on analysis, design, development, implementation of analytical and business intelligence reporting solutions for JSSI, and to ensure integrity of data. In addition, the Senior BI Developer will be engaging in various customer-facing tasks such as basic requirements-gathering and must be able to provide effective reporting solutions for presented issues. This role will involve daily communications with both IT & non-IT staff; therefore a diverse range of communication styles must be present. Providing technical guidance on a regular basis is also required. The candidate should have advanced-level SQL and BI skills and will utilize a variety of BI and reporting tools such as Microsoft Reporting Services.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain existing SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and recommend/implement new reporting systems, that provide real business value and improve information worker efficiency in a complex database environment comprised of SQL Server 2008, 2012 relational databases.
  • Support a wide range of users from Analyst to Executive Management roles, by responding quickly to user needs and developing report products in a timely manner.
  • Analyze requirements and interact with users to determine the data sets required to meet the users' needs.
  • Build efficient, complex, parameterized SQL queries and stored procedures to produce output data sets, evaluating the technology available and selecting the best report format and delivery medium.
